There is something wonderfully hopeful about fresh paint. A room that has become familiar suddenly looks different. A wall that we passed by without really noticing seems brighter. A space that has carried years of meetings, conversations, work, worship, laughter, worry, and prayer begins to feel new again. Over the past little while, the church offices have been painted and transformed. This week, the Sanctuary is being painted as well. There have been drop cloths, ladders,
