The Sew'N'Sews
The Sew’N’Sews are a group of ladies (men welcome) that get together every Wednesday morning between 9 AM and 12 Noon in the
church hall.
There is always a large quilt in a quilt frame so some ladies quilt while others do crafts, knit, crochet etc. Others work on a project of
their own and come out to enjoy the fellowship. We stop mid-morning for a 'Cupa' and a treat.
We start at 9 a.m. but there is no definite time to arrive of leave other than at noon. There is no roll call, fees or speeches - just good
fellowship and busy fingers.
The Sew’N’Sews are always ready to help (if we can) with a project you may be having trouble with or will even make or finish a project for you.
We always have some items in our cupboards for sale especially hand made Baby Quilts (ideal gifts for new babies). We have Sales tables at the
UCW Spring Luncheon and Bazaar and special tables at the Christmas Luncheon and Bazaar that are filled with beautiful gift ideas, mitts, toques, etc.
All monies raised from our sales go into the UCW Treasury to be used for Zion-Memorial Church and community projects. Items donated to our sales
tables are always welcome.
The Bible Study Group
Meets every second Sunday in the Choir Room at 12:30 following Fellowship Hour.
We usually begin with the New Testament reading from that Sunday's service and go where that scripture leads us. It's a warm and friendly group
with several different views on the various topics explored. Next date is in the Bulletin. Everyone welcome.
The Seekers
Seeking elsewhere for the summer. Back in the Fall.
The Men's Breakfast Group
The Men's Breakfast Group gets together on Saturday morning for fellowship and a hot breakfast in the church hall.
See the Church Calendar for the next breakfast.
It is a chance for the men in the congregation to start the weekend with a good breakfast, a good cup of coffee, as well as a time to socialize
and occasionally plan work projects in and around the church and manse or further afield.
The Z-Team
This small group generally meet each Thursday from 9 until noon with a mandatory coffee break at 10:30 a.m. They've been known to make and
patch holes, fix plumbing, wire for sound, seed grass, create windows, locate stars, and other small miracles.
