Guided by the Holy Spirit,
we are called together by Jesus:
to worship God; to grow as disciples of Christ;
to serve the world and each other;
and to offer hospitality and welcome to all.

Mission, Vision and Goals
Our Mission: The Mission of Zion-Memorial United Church, in an ever changing society, is to continue to develop an
inclusive community where all people are welcome including but not limited to all ages, race, gender, sexual orientation, differing abilities,
ethnic origins and economic circumstances; to continue to grow spiritually; to experience the love of Jesus Christ; and to practice His teachings
in our daily lives.
Our Vision: We will be an inclusive Church that is recognized as a place of worship and fellowship for everyone. Christian
teaching, learning and living will be paramount. While we value and uphold our traditions, we want to speak as a contemporary Christian voice to
changing concepts, new traditions and current thinking. Zion-Memorial United Church will be known as an active, relevant Christian Church in
the community.
Our Goals:
WORSHIP: We will offer a worship experience that, while thought-provoking
and relevant in today's world, will inspire up to follow in Christ's teachings and will provide spiritual nourishment and comfort
in our lives.
OUTREACH: In a Christian community in a diverse world, we will care for and support
each other within the Church, the community and the world.
ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP: As part of God's Creation we are custodians of the
physical environment. We will be aware of our impact on it, know our responsibilities to protect it, act on that knowledge and educate
others in responsible stewardship.
